A number of the most prominent brands in America have used corporate apparel and other promotional items in recent years to promote sales and motivate employees, according to a recent article.

Anheuser-Busch, Energizer and AT&T are among the major corporations that have made major purchases of custom golf balls, jackets, t-shirts and other promotional items over the past few years, the St. Louis Business Journal reported.

The article noted that even though advertising has been the traditional realm of promotional items, many companies have purchased customized luxury items in recent years in order to boost employee recognition and rewards programs.

Firms of all sizes, from Fortune 500 companies to the smallest businesses have successfully used promotional items to boost sales and promote worker productivity. Many firms see corporate apparel as a powerful tool for promoting worker success, because it can be a valuable reward on its own as well as a visible symbol of achievement, and often costs less than financial incentives and other types of rewards. There are many different types of corporate apparel, from custom t-shirts and sweatshirts to hats and custom bags.
