Local business gatherings can be great ways for companies to reach both potential customers and potential business partners. In one recent example, the 12th Annual Bartlett Business Expo brought together Memphis-area businesses to set up exhibits and share promotional items and information.
The event was sponsored by Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, which represents more 600 local businesses. It brought in more than 80 exhibitors, according to the Memphis Daily News, including local owners of national franchises like Chik-fil-A, banks, hospital systems, media publications and local businesses.
The newspaper reported that attendants moved through the expo with bags to collect all the promotional items being offered, including t-shirts, drink huggies and even pork rinds. One company, ITS Impact Technology Solutions, offered promotional chocolate chip cookies.
Simply Business recently emphasized the importance of attending events like the business expo. "Direct advertising and other unsolicited advances can be useful, but personal contact and a face-to-face conversation are often far more successful," said the website.
